Alas, at long last came an occasion to celebrate, and celebrate they did! A build that finally worked! With a whole lot of infighting amongst the various elements that make up the politically charged scenario of a typical common workplace, the brilliance of a tall lanky dark stranger saved the day and 42 was the number where all seemed OK. But hardly was the jubilation and triumph celebrated, and there arose a new crisis, a new situation, and a new way of looking at the same jumbled emotional atmosphere ! The Right audience, in this situation, let slip a shoddy comment about a green substance that he himself quoted as being unavailable when in a favourable situation while discussing it. (at an earlier, friendlier time). the nature of the comment was lost upon the audience, who merely suspected it to be a harmless, innocuous dig at a now turned-over-a-new-leaf manboy, but in reality, all it exposed was a desire to strike down upon a seeming threat to his dominance.
Accordingly, all changed and once again, the few bemused strangers adrift in a murky world of Indian Politics find themselves wondering whether the world is the right place for them after all.
Truly, it must be said, it was one fine dining experience!
